๐ธ Short version: The Tender Trail collects no personal data. No analytics, no telemetry, no accounts, no ads. Your save file stays on your device (and in your own Steam Cloud, if you enable it).
Who we are
The Tender Trail is an indie game developed and published by CountXIII (count0013@gmail.com).
What data we collect
We do not collect any personal data.
The game does not include analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or any network communication initiated by the game itself.
Steam
The game is distributed via Steam (Valve Corporation). When you play through Steam:
- Steam handles your account, identity, and payment โ we have no access to this data.
- Steam Cloud may sync your save file (
save.json) across your devices if you enable it. This file contains only your in-game progress (region, money, reputation, recipes unlocked, settings preferences). It does not contain any personally identifiable information. - Steam Achievements are reported to Steam when you earn them in-game. The achievement API call contains only the achievement ID (e.g.
first_serve) โ no personal data.
Steam's own privacy policy applies to all Steam services: store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement
Local save files
The game writes the following files to your local disk under the Godot user data folder (app_userdata/The Tender Trail/):
| File | Contents |
|---|---|
save.json | Game progress (region, money, reputation, recipes, upgrades, etc.) |
audio.cfg | Volume slider settings |
language.txt | Your chosen language preference |
None of these files contain personal data. They never leave your device unless Steam Cloud sync is enabled.
This website
This site is a static page. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may log standard web request data (IP address, user agent) under Google's privacy policy.
Third-party services
The game has no ads, no in-app purchases, no social features, and no third-party SDKs beyond the GodotSteam integration described above.
Children
The game does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. As noted above, we collect no data at all.
Changes to this policy
If anything changes (e.g. we add crash reporting in a future update), this page will be updated and the Last updated date will change.
